Communication is Key
Though we are overwhelmed with the amount of information around us, one key idea remains: for a community to exist, there must be communication. This blog is here to show the detail in our plans for Canaan Acres. It is our way of showing the materials and people we need to complete the projects before us. We need your help in doing the work of Christ.
There are many ways to give to a mission. You can give monetarily. This could be a one-time offering, or if you are able and feel called to give on a monthly basis, you could do so. If money isn’t an option, there is always time and effort. There is much to be done on the campgrounds, and everyone has gifts and talents they can offer. In these early stages of camp restoration, we need the people of the trades, plumbers, electricians, construction, and the like, but with each season, we will need a new group of individuals to meet the challenges of the day.
With both of those ways, this blog presents a newer idea. For example, we are restoring a cottage on the property and need 40 boxes of flooring, two bunks of drywall, 500ft of 12/3 wire, 24 ft of standard 3in PVC, etc……… (please do not get these items in this list. it was an example) With this detailed list you can see what we need and can partner with us in getting the materials necessary to complete these projects. If there is one thing we all have learned, everyone wants your money, and it wears on everybody differently. In this new way of giving, you can help us meet our needs with a detailed look at what we are doing and feel you have contributed to something specific. You will be able to see the value you have offered, a direct link to your giving, which rewards us and you with the gift you have given.
Blessings in Truth,
